Exercise Notes      ONE HANDED FILL ON SNARE, TOM AND CRASH

The fill in this exercise starts with a quarter note count (1 2 3 4 1 2 3) and ends with 'and-four-and'. To get started, forget about the flam at first and just play all the notes with your right hand (and right-foot for bass drum on the final note).

When you are comfortable, try adding the flam. Play the flam by hitting the snare drum with the left-hand (at low volume) and right hand (at full volume). Play the left-hand note slightly ahead of the right to 'fatten' the sound. Listen to the chart to hear how it should sound.
