Exercise Notes RIGHT HANDED EIGHTH NOTES IN A SIMPLE PATTERN
In this exercise, play all eight notes (in time with the metronome) on the hi-hat while the left-hand plays the upbeats on 2 and 4. Count eight notes as 'one-and-two-and-three-and-four-and' (1+2+3+4+).
The bass drum plays on the 1 and 3 in the first bar and 1, 2, 3 and 4 in the second bar. Listen to the chart carefully to hear the difference.
