Exercise Notes KICK DRUM STAMINA AND ACCURACY
The aim of this exercise is to support and allow easy placement of bass drum notes in grooves and fills. The transitions through quarter notes, eighth notes, triplets and sixteenth notes helps master control of your right-foot.
This exercise helps develop the right time feeling to transition from quarter notes into triplets. Listen to the chart carefully and pay close attention to the changes from the quarter note feel to the triplet feel. For fun, experiment a little by playing the four measures in different orders, e.g., 1 - 3 - 2 - 4 or 1 - 4 - 3 - 2.
